I have no idea why, but I didn't get on with this book!
People talk about how amazingly humorous it is, how side splitting it is for 1000 pages... but it was boring and I had to shelve it after book 1 (500 pages).
I deserve to be strung up and lynched for literary sacrilege!
Maybe I was expecting medieval battles or puke projecting out of windmills - ??? - but it was endlessly dull. I've matured a lot since then, and if I can get through Ulysses and pass off Moby Dick as a decent read, so there's still hope... but life is short.
