The Cask of Amontillado
by
Edgar Allan Poe

Short Stories, Gothic, Horror
Richard Alex Jenkins
If you go down to the woods today for a sumptuous snifter of Amontillado you better watch your back and make sure there's an obvious escape route.
Or maybe drink a quart of cheap sherry enroute so you're none the wiser when malevolence stirs from the bottle?
Indeed, you're probably best avoiding Amontillado altogether unless you prefer eternal entrapment in hell.
A sinister and disturbingly tasty tipple of terror.
Thanks to my colleagues in reading group Horror or Heaven for guiding me to the cask.
