I read The Castle in my early 20s and it desperately needs a reread.
Well, maybe not desperately... but here's what's been stopping me so far:
😱 It scared me, probably due to my insecurities at the time and the concoction of psychedelic drugs that were available. What on earth did I just read?
😎 The madman's stare. Franz, back off why don't you! Who do you think you are, Edgar Allan Poe or something?
🤪 My endlessly growing TBR, including The Metamorphosis and The Trial by the same author.
I will get round to a reread at some point when I'm nicely accustomed to my newly padded cell, but until then... revisiting those crazy memories will have to wait.
