The True Story of The Elephant Man

This is an interesting non-fiction read but nothing like the movie by David Lynch - one of his best films and a 10/10 experience for me.

What makes this book so compulsive is knowing what John Merrick had to endure as an exploited and suffering human being put under incredible duress and pressure just to stay alive.

This book is essentially a Wikipedia article and miles away from the shock and thrills that the big screen captures at the sheer terror of being the elephant man.

Read this book for the hard facts and watch the movie with John Hurt, Anthony Hopkins and John Gielgud, plus loads of other amazing actors for extremely creepy, disturbing and atmospheric action.
